• Once a Cesarean… Twice a Cesarean… Always a Cesarean?

  The notion “Once a Cesarean, always a Cesarean” has been challenged. Recent recommendations (Aug 2010 by ACOG) even allow for a trial of labor and vaginal birth after two Cesarean deliveries in patients who meet certain criteria. We all have a responsibility to educate our patients and empower them with the knowledge needed for a well informed decision.

  I just got the Flu shot. You should too, especially if pregnant. It is NOT “just the flu”. If pregnant influenza virus can affect you and your baby. The best treatment is prevention. Read “5 reasons why you should be vaccinated” and more!

  I just came back from Harvard’s Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery conference held in Boston. We are witnessing fast-paced advancements in technology. There is nothing big about a hysterectomy anymore when we can do it laparoscopically or robotically-assissted using the DaVinci or similar robotic devices.
